Producer's Note from the program
Past Shows - 1986 Grease
Good Evening,

I would like to welcome you to GREASE. It is your support that has brought The Peter Quince Performing Company, Ltd. into our 18th season and which continues to in spire us to strive for excellence in education, cooperation, leadership, and performance.

This company consists of a very special group of young people between the ages of 13 and 22. We handle everything ourselves from the business end to the raw construction of the sets. Tonight's show represents the culmination of weeks of frustration, fatigue, sorrows, and successes.

This is only my second year in Peter Quince, but none the less I feel I have gained much knowledge and experience. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people whom I have had the pleasure to have been involved with. But, most of all, I would like to sincerely thank you, our gracious friends, supporters, and parents. It is because of you that we will continue in the future. I would also like to personally thank all of those who helped, but will not be physically seen on stage. For without them there would be no show.

Now let us take you back to a time when girls wore poodle skirts and beehive hairdos and the boys wore pegged pants and white T-shirts.

Chairman of the Board

Director's Note from the program
Past Shows - 1986 Grease
Hi everyone and thank you for coming to the Peter Quince Performing Company, Ltd.'s production of GREASE. Normally in a letter like this, the director tells about how much work goes into the finished product and how you, the audience, should sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Well, this letter is going to be just a little bit different.

Of course rehearsals weren't always fun and everyone's temper was not always as even as possible. People got hot and sweaty and tried and most of all frustrated. So we worked -- all of us -- as hard as possible and hopefully in your eyes, we succeeded. THis year we also had a very young cast. They were energetic, as well as dedicated. In my opinion, the future of Quince lies in capable, eager hands.

As for reading this, I want you to enjoy the show, but I don't necessarily want you to just watch, smile, and applaud when a song ends. If you want to clap along with a song, feel free to. If you want to dance in the aisles, get up and do the Hand-Jive along with the cast. I invite you to get caught up in the energy and share with us the excitement of performing. Remember, a play should be experienced, not just watched.

At any rate, welcome to the show. I'm glad you could make it, because without you the show wouldn't be worth doing.

Thanks a lot.
